When a Good Contract
Isn’t Good Enough
Instructor: Phil Bode |
Some contracts are better than others, but no contract is bullet proof. Reality has a way of rearing its ugly head despite your best efforts to contractually protect your organization. Vendors merge, go out of business, fail to meet their obligations, etc. and oftentimes, the contract fails to protect the customer adequately…because it can’t.
This Workshop focuses on risk identification and mitigation strategies (contractual and business) for 9 key contract provisions/concepts. By attending this Workshop you will learn how to bridge the gap between contractual protections and reality to minimize the likelihood of a rude awakening if or when your contract fails to protect you.
The following provisions/concepts will be discussed:
- SLAs
- Mergers
- Bankruptcy
- Security
- Service outages
- Data
- Indemnification
- Force majeure
- Compliance
